The NuTyX team is please to annonce the development release 8.2.95 of NuTyX.
NuTyX 8.2.95 comes with kernel 4.10.1, kernel lts 4.9.13, glibc 2.25, gcc 6.3.0, binutils 2.28, python 3.6.0, xorg-server 1.19.2, qt 5.8.0, plasma 5.9.3, kf5 5.31.0, gnome 3.22.2, mate 1.16.1, xfce4 4.12.3, firefox 52.0, etc...
More then 2000 commits since the 8.2 version.
New Isos are available in 32 and 64 bits. There sizes are respectively about 246 MB and 247 MB. on http://downloads.nutyx.org
The available graphical interface are: kde5, gnome, mate, xfce4, lxde, flwm, jwm, ratpoison, blackbox, openbox, twm, etc.
Fifth and hopefully last development version for the next stable version of NuTyX 8.3.
If you have a uefi compatible computer, you can now install NuTyX in uefi mode.
Those new ISOs can be launch on UEFI configured machines. It it's your case, the installer will guide the user to make the right chooices during installation and the uefi will take care of booting the machine, no other boot manager are needed by default. Up to the enduser to decide or not for choosing one if needed.
To satify the needs of uefi machines, news packages are added.
efivar, efibootmgr, dosfstools and lsb-release are now included in the base sytem.
Main components of the toolchain that are kernel-header, compiler, linker, assembler and C library are now up to date. Respective version of each element are availables in the list below.
